Size Medium Large

Most linear pendants come in one size and you just hope it fits. The NICOL comes in two — so you can actually match it to your space.
Layered shades made from modified wood veneer and perforated vinyl diffuse the light softly downward, creating a warm glow without harsh spots. The natural oak and black combination works across Scandinavian, modern, and Nordic interiors without trying too hard.

Handmade in Poland. The veneer layering and perforated vinyl aren't decorative gimmicks — they're what gives the shade its depth and the light its character. Each fixture is assembled by hand, which means small natural variations in the veneer are normal and expected.

Why people choose this fixture:

Soft diffused light, comfortable for dining and everyday use
Two sizes so you can match the fixture to your table or island

Adjustable height so you set the exact drop during install
Lightweight for a multi-shade fixture, easier to hang solo

Best for: Kitchen islands, dining tables, open-plan living areas
Style: Scandinavian, Nordic, modern minimalist
Light type: Soft diffused downward light with warm ambient spill
Material feel: Natural oak veneer with black perforated vinyl accents

Which Size Is Right for You?

Medium (3-light): 31.5 × 27.6 × 7.9 inches. Best for tables and islands up to 5 feet.
Large (4-light): 37.4 × 37.0 × 7.9 inches. Best for tables and islands 5 feet and longer.

A good rule of thumb: your fixture should span roughly two thirds of your table length.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between Medium and Large?

Medium is a 3-light fixture, 31.5 inches long. Large is a 4-light fixture, 37.4 inches long. Same materials, same finish, same hang. For tables under 5 feet go Medium; 5 feet and over go Large.

What bulbs does it take, and are they included?

E26 bulbs, not included — one per shade. Medium takes 3 bulbs, Large takes 4. Max 15W LED per shade, but that's the LED wattage, not the light output. A 15W LED is equivalent to roughly a 100W incandescent bulb. For a warm dining feel look for 2700K. For a brighter kitchen look, go 3000K.

What are the exact dimensions?

Medium: 31.50 × 27.56 × 7.87 inches (800 × 700 × 200 mm).
Large: 37.40 × 37.01 × 7.87 inches (950 × 940 × 200 mm).
Ceiling canopy: 4.5 × 9 inches.

How high should I hang it above the table?

Around 28 to 34 inches from the tabletop to the bottom of the shade is standard for dining. The cord is adjustable so you set the exact drop during install.

Is it dimmable?

Yes, with an external dimmer switch or dimmable smart bulbs. No integrated dimmer in the fixture, so you can use whatever system you already have.

What is the shade made from?

Modified wood veneer layered with perforated vinyl. The vinyl is flexible and has a slight texture similar to faux leather — the perforation is what lets light pass through and creates the warm, patterned spill. The veneer wraps and softens the overall glow. Together they give the shade a look you won't find on a standard pendant.

Is it approved for Canadian electrical code?

Yes. UL listed for both the USA and Canada (cUL), so it passes inspection and won't cause issues with insurance or a home sale.

Do I need an electrician?

It's a hardwired fixture that requires installation. If you're replacing an existing ceiling light on the same box, many people handle it themselves. If you're adding a new box or moving the location, use a licensed electrician.

How fast does it ship?

Ships from our Mississauga warehouse. 1 to 3 business days to Eastern Canada, 4 to 6 to Western Canada. Free shipping over $149.

What is the warranty?

2 years from date of purchase.

What if it doesn't work in the space?

30-day returns on uninstalled fixtures. Send it back within 30 days of delivery in its original packaging, uninstalled and unmodified. Once installed, it's no longer eligible for return.
